Past, Present, and Future Challenges for Our Forests

Carroll County Forestry Board and University of Maryland Extension present a one-day workshop: "Past, Present and Future Challenges To Our Forests"

Where: VFW Post 467, 519 Poole Road Westminster, MD 21157

When: 01/21/2017 08:00 AM until 01/21/2017 03:30 PM

Maryland was once covered by Eastern Deciduous Forest, one of the most biologically diverse biomes in America. With the introduction of exotic invasive species, increasing development and exploding deer populations, our Eastern forests have become increasing “challenged”. No matter the size of your property, we ALL are the stewards upon whom the future of our children, forests and clean water depends. Learn about the past, present and future challenges facing our woodlands.

Registration fee is $50.00 per individual, $75 per couple and $15 for students (with ID). Your registration will include morning refreshments, lunch, and course materials.
