Trail Opening at Morven Park — Saturday, June 7, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy on National Trails Day to celebrate the opening of several new walking trails at Morven Park. In the 1970s, Morven Park had a series of nature trails that wound through the woods and along the ridge. In the last year, two projects and numerous volunteers pulled together to map, redefine and mark two main trails: the Ridge Loop Trail and the Wood Thrush Trail. Join us for a ribbon cutting and orientation to these trails and the surrounding areas, meet the “eco-goats” as they eat their way through some nonnative plants, and hear more about the projects and the people involved. Visit the Monarch waystation of Turkey Hill, play games, and meet the Morven Park Turkeys! Questions: Contact Jill Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
