Dragonflies and Damselflies Program— Tuesday, June 17, 7:00 p.m., Morven Park. Did you know that over 70 species of dragonflies and damselflies have been identified in Loudoun County and there are surely more yet to be found? What you may find even more surprising is that most of the species in the County can be identified using the same tools you use for birding—binoculars and a field guide. Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s Andy Rabin for a fun and friendly introduction to the world of Odonata. It’s a world that you may have scarcely noticed as you were looking at birds, butterflies and wildflowers. Topics to be covered include their life cycle, behavior, and the best spots to find them in Loudoun County. The presentation will include plenty of photographs of many different species, along with tips on identifying them. Registration required: Sign Up Online. Questions:Contact Jill Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
